Aki Luna Lagoon Resort Hikkaduwa

A fantastic spot! The owners are wonderful, everything in the room is present and thoughtfully arranged, and it’s spotlessly clean with a pleasant scent. No mosquitoes or flies at all. Breakfast was superb, plentiful and tasty. The host greeted us with a cold fresh juice and fresh flower garlands—absolutely delightful. The place is quiet, cozy, and just superb; I’d love to return!

Very quiet with a view over the lake. The garden is well kept and the breakfast is generous. The staff are friendly and dedicated. There’s a small tea kitchen behind the bed, and the bed itself is very comfortable. The shower is nice and the overall cleanliness is excellent.

“Enjoy Canoe and breakfast in a peaceful lagoon waterfront”

A hidden gem tucked beside a lagoon that connects to the ocean. The best part is the free canoe rental with a safety jacket in the early morning before sunrise, letting you paddle as far as you like, and the breakfast is served along the water’s edge where you can watch the sunrise. The breakfast is generous, very local and authentic, including hot dishes. I also appreciate the large bathroom and the bed size. The host is super friendly and welcomes you to the property. It’s very quiet and clean. For dinner, there are many good options, and the host is willing to send a tutu for a small fee back and forth. The only minor improvement needed is that there’s no sign on the location and it’s a bit of a walk from the main street. I have a driver and couldn’t find it, so I strongly recommend contacting the host via WhatsApp 15 minutes before arrival; the host will meet you at the crossroads leading to the property. Once you arrive, you’ll be pleased with your choice.

A lovely, peaceful spot right on the lagoon in Hikkaduwa. The rooms are very comfortable and come with homemade products. The family took great care of us, providing daily breakfast and ensuring we had everything we needed.
