I liked the bright spot right next to the shopping centre, and the rooms were neat with a friendly crew, but the bed and pillow could have been better – it took me a moment to get used to them.

The beds were small and the mattress a bit hard, and the wall décor was cold and bare, but the room was tidy and had a slightly oriental feel with a nice balcony.

Because we were on a border‑cycling tour (Zipfelorte) and needed a stamp in the Zipfelpass, staying in Selfkant was convenient; the pension’s location was good, the e‑bikes could be stored in a covered, fenced area, and the food at the Indian restaurant was very good. The rooms were simple but functional, though the bed could be a bit wider; the linens were clean, but I would prefer white, smooth sheets for hygiene reasons. Additionally, at 1:30 am the nearby food markets were being delivered.

“Heet op de kamer”

The hotel is just across the border, close to a shopping area, but the constant noise from the air‑conditioners makes it hard to sleep.
