The building is nice and the staff are very friendly, and the food is top quality. The tiles in the bathroom were loose, the bathroom was not maintained, there were no grout lines between the tiles, the floor creaked, the bed creaked, and the floor covering was loose. There were no toilet brushes and there was a cold shower.

It was an amazing chilled‑out weekend; the staff were all so lovely 👌😊

Hi, yes it was tasty, thanks. Nothing was wrong, everything was good. Hi, it was.

The stay was nice, but three out of three breakfast sausages were raw, still charged full, and the staff told me I couldn't bring a dog even though the place is dog friendly, which was disappointing.

The hotel still keeps its old charm even after the ownership change, and its spot is spot-on with one of Scotland’s best beer gardens around. The rooms feel really outdated, and the food is a big let‑down compared to the 1990s when it used to host one of the region’s top award‑winning British restaurants.
