The surroundings themselves aren’t particularly interesting, but the location is convenient for reaching Sepilok and is also close to the airport. The room feels quite dated and lacks attention to detail; there is a kettle, but no coffee or tea, and the bed linen looked old with several stains that seemed permanent rather than unwashed, giving a not‑very‑fresh impression.
