“Good location, strange set up.”

The room was tidy, comfortable, and fully equipped, and its location on the side streets of Carcassonne Castle is ideal; breakfast was okay but odd, with food left out on the table and at a service counter, and the breads weren’t labeled, so as a gluten‑free guest I wasn’t sure what I could eat; there was no staff available for assistance, parking was confusing, the welcome was just a key on a hook with a code, and the fruit was old; also, there’s a tourist tax you’re told to pay, but no place to put it except near the sign that says you need to pay it, which feels like a strange setup.

“An amazing place to stay. In a fantastic location.”

The place is spotless, stylish, and sits in a fantastic spot with easy access to the walled town, but there’s no staff on site, which can be a drawback if you’re unsure of what to do when you arrive; the only other issue was a faulty shower room door in George’s room.

The décor is gorgeous, and it’s located right in the heart of the medieval coast, but the room faces the street and we had to deal with rolling bins on the cobbles early in the morning.

“Excelente, sin embargo....”

The property is fully renovated and boasts a prime location inside the walls of Carcassonne; nearby parking is available at a special rate, and the continental breakfast is simple, but the tavern right in front of the hotel plays music at full volume late into the night, ruining sleep, especially if you’re traveling with family for leisure and rest—there should be restrictions on that.
