I was right in the middle of Lauscha, but the breakfast was only average for the nightly rate and the street traffic was loud.

Simple, everything was there, so a one‑night stay was fine. It was simple compared to larger hotel chains, but slept well.

The staff were very friendly. The location was right next to the train station and close to the glass shops. The breakfast and dinner were tasty. We will definitely come back.

The location is very central. The breakfast could be more substantial—eggs, fruit salad, ham, a larger selection of rolls. Rooms on the street side are very noisy.

“A good stopover - no frills.”

The spot is close to the station and there’s a restaurant that requires a reservation. I had a nice burger and the cook was friendly. The honesty drinks fridge is very useful because there are few shopping options in town, or even bars. The sauna was closed, and no one was available to ask about it. Staff were not on site; you have to call them. On the second night I hadn’t booked dinner, and the restaurant was closed, as were all the others in town. Luckily I had some snacks, or I would have gone to bed very hungry.
