Sinclairs Retreat Kalimpong

The location and views are superb, and the staff were very polite and helpful, but because the hotel is away from town the restaurant needs a better menu and to make sure all items are available; a second restaurant would help; breakfast needs improvement; we ate some dinners at the restaurant – the food was well cooked but most menu items were unavailable; the cafe was non‑functional.

“Will not stay here again.”

The gardens and location were nice, but there was no internet during our stay; they gave us expired drinks and then offered dinner, but no beer; the food was okay; we struggled deciding what to eat; the best part were the staff, who were nice, especially Ritesh, Deepak and Sunil.

“Amazing long weekend was spent with family. Highly recommended.”

The hotel sits in a great spot and looks after its rooms well, with lovely views from each room, though the breakfast spread could have been improved.

“Good place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of a city life. Calm Serenity.”

The breakfast was superb, but when we had to leave at 7 AM for the airport we requested a quick meal and it turned out to be subpar; the staff were polite and helpful, especially Mr. Swastik who made our stay very comfortable, yet the long walk from reception to our room up and down felt more like an exercise.

Receptionist Bejoy was very helpful, but the amenities seemed undercharged compared to what they actually cost, and the overall hospitality left something to be desired.
