Hotel Admiral

The hotel sits in the Museum Quarter and is a short walk from key attractions like the Hofburg, State Opera House, and the Spanish Riding School, with several museums literally minutes away. My room was larger than expected for central Vienna and even had a bath. It was clean and in a quiet area, and the staff were very polite and helpful. However, there was no kettle in my room, and although I had a smart TV, I couldn’t stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.; all the channels were in German except for the news.

“Nice place for a night or two, but nothing extraordinary”

Nice area, close to restaurants and within walking distance of city‑centre attractions. It could have done more to create a sense of charm and ambience; there was no feel of Vienna’s splendour here.

The location is great—right next to the Museumsquartier and within walking distance of all the main sights. The Neubaugasse nearby was perfect for strolling or going out. Breakfast was more than sufficient. The hotel feels a bit dated, especially the old carpeted floor that’s no longer very modern. Overall it’s fine (since we spend most of our time outside the city), but the price‑to‑value didn’t quite match our expectations.
