“Worked for us”

The hotel sits in the older part of town, recently renovated in a modern style, all very smart and clean, and ultra‑secure—no worries there. Taxis are available locally after a short walk, and the “interesting” part of town is quite gritty but has real character. Our Classic room only opened one side of the double bed and had no comfortable seating, but we didn’t plan to spend much time in the room anyway.

The room had a nice design and the location was decent. The key was a phone link to enter the residence, the hotel, and then the room, but the hotel link rarely worked, so we got stuck without staff help. Luckily other guests came out, but it wasn’t ideal. The room wasn’t well insulated; we could hear a lot of noise during breakfasts and at night—food, neighboring rooms, and outside. The shower drain was a bit clogged, and there was no light for makeup or shaving in the bathroom, which was very dark. The full‑length mirror was tinted, so it wasn’t practical. The photos showed cooking facilities, but they were blocked off, so we couldn’t cook. The breakfast was very disappointing: only cheap biscuits and sandwiches, long waits for coffee and toast, and we couldn’t choose what to eat—no orange juice, only peach and pear.
