It was a very pleasant surprise to stay so close to the cathedral with a parking spot in an old monastery! Nothing to complain about.

Hôtellerie Saint Yves, a 17th-century former monastery, is situated in Chartres, 50 metres from the iconic cathedral. This historic hotel offers en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi, accessible by lift, and a private bathroom with shower. A buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room with an arched stone ceiling, near local cafés and restaurants within 500 metres.

The location is exceptional, and the building is steeped in history.

The location was close to the cathedral and the parking was convenient. The room was very basic and had no equipment. The bathroom was functional but tiny.

The drive was a bit of an adventure with a sharp right turn in a very narrow alley, but the spot was perfect, just a few meters from the cathedral. In the morning we could only take a cold shower because of a malfunction, and it was a shame we weren't warned beforehand.
