The staff are consistently polite, and when I called from near the inn because I couldn’t find the parking, they went out of their way to pick me up – thank you. Free massages help me recover from travel fatigue, and having Fuji’s delicious water available at any time is appreciated. Because it’s a historic inn from the Edo period’s post town, the overall construction feels old.

I could feel the Showa vibe everywhere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. They even stored my road bike in the inn, and the parking was available. The free washing machine, 24‑hour bath, microwave, and fridge were all handy. Breakfast and dinner were high quality and worth recommending. The rooms were compact but comfortable, and overall the value for money was unbeatable. On the downside, the inn is cramped, so I often bumped into other guests. Soundproofing was below average, and the staff’s training seemed to be heard by us. Their service was good but sometimes felt over the top. Breakfast and dinner times were inflexible, the location was hard to find, and the stairs were steep.

The atmosphere, the welcoming and human touch, the old‑school onsen, and the traditional breakfast were absolutely charming and delightful. It was a very picturesque and memorable stay! If you’re after a sterile cleanliness, you might want to look elsewhere.

It was located in a bustling district and in a historic building. The night shops nearby made it noisy until late.
