Location. I want to lodge a serious complaint and ask for a refund for the night I did not use. The room we got was not the one we booked or the one shown in the photos. Instead of a double bed, a table, chairs and proper storage, we received two separate beds, a very small cabinet and a rubbish bin. The room was extremely small, poorly arranged and dirty, with crumbs everywhere on the floor. The toilet smelled bad and was constantly wet. The boiler was leaking directly behind the toilet, which also kept the toilet paper wet. The shower area offered almost no privacy, as it was basically an open space separated only by a curtain. The biggest issue was the noise. Even though the hostel has quiet hours from 22:00 to 08:00, those rules were not followed at all. There was constant shouting, arguing, doors being slammed, people coming and going, and people showering at night. We could barely sleep. On top of that, someone repeatedly tried to open our room door. On our first night, around 2:00 a.m., someone tried to enter our room. We therefore had to keep the door locked at all times and felt unsafe. My husband had recently had surgery and needed a quiet and suitable place to rest, but the conditions made this impossible. Because of all these problems, we had no choice but to leave one day early. Before leaving, I contacted the accommodation via WhatsApp, but nobody responded. We also waited about 15–20 minutes at reception when checking out, and nobody came to help us. The accommodation was very different from what was advertised and booked, and the hygiene, safety and sleeping conditions were unacceptable. I am therefore requesting a refund for the unused night and expect this complaint to be taken seriously.
