The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable—something I haven’t felt in a long time—and the room was spacious, clean, and well‑maintained. However, the information about a nearby metro was false; that line is under construction, and getting to the operational line that goes to the city center takes an extra 20 minutes by city bus. Breakfast offered very few options, all of which were bland, and aside from coffee there were no other drinks. The place reeks of cigarette smoke.

The hotel isn’t bad! The metro station is close, though it was closed for repairs. The staff were responsive. Breakfast was not very varied—no sausages, cold cuts, or cheeses, and only coffee was available. Even for tea there were no pastries or pastries. The staff don’t speak English, so I had to use an electronic translator, and there were no English‑language channels on TV.

“Best stay in Beijing”

The staff were really friendly and helpful; I felt at ease immediately and they were always ready to assist. Coming from the UK/Japan, the breakfast was incredible and super interesting every day. The room was very spacious and bright, new and clean, and the shower and toilet were very nice. Amazing value for money. I used a Didi taxi to get around, about 25 minutes or so to the centre.
