Fantastic location with breath‑taking views. Nothing to complain about! The stairs and hill to town are steep, but only a 5‑minute walk and absolutely worth it.

The location is great, the breakfast is superb, the vibe is relaxed and the staff are friendly, but the guidance on bike routes and hikes could use improvement. I had hoped for more yoga sessions; they only offered three times a week, each lasting one hour and scheduled very late in the morning, which would have been better before breakfast, and evenings could have had yoga too—after all, the hotel advertises it, but it was very limited.

“Good food and scenery”

Very clean and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel is too far from the centre; the only way was walking down 120 steep steps. There were no tables or mirrors in the bedroom for my wife to do makeup or hair.

The view is sensational. The rooms are very small and everything feels overcrowded. The staff come across as unprofessional. There are too few parking spaces at the hotel. The restaurant food does not live up to the hype. The minibar is very sparsely stocked. The hotel is dimly lit everywhere, and the air conditioning emits a sandalwood incense scent.

Good things: the location, free beach towels, a hat and sunscreen, on‑site yoga classes, free water refills, and a very good, healthy breakfast selection. The breakfast staff are very friendly, but the reception and dinner staff are not. Room cleaning only occurs every other day unless you request daily; we asked for daily and after the first night they didn’t even change the bed linens. We left some glasses from the pool in the room and they were left there. Reception staff were not friendly; I felt my requests—changing my taxi time and getting new beach towels after the storm ruined ours—were annoying them. They insisted we could only bring plastic glasses for room service drinks, not a normal glass. Three times I picked up a plate at the breakfast buffet and it wasn’t clean. If you want a pool room, specify that you do not want room 127. It’s barely a pool room because it’s in the corner in the shaded area, so it’s really dark and not like the photos. We waited for our room to be ready on the first day and they took me to a shower room to get ready, which smelled damp. Overall, strange smells in the hotel, a bit damp.
