“聚落晚上很安靜，戶外都看不到人，膽小人，應該不敢住。但安靜好眠。”
The old house is well maintained and elegantly decorated, and the host is enthusiastic; he called the day before to check if I needed a transfer. I was the only guest that day, and fruit snacks were offered. The single room has a private bathroom, the bed is comfortable, and breakfast is peanut soup with fried cakes. The bathroom is tiny, the single‑room door is small, so you have to turn sideways to get in; if you’re a bit stout you can’t fit. The dressing mirror faces the bed, so it’s a bit scary to turn off the light at night; it should be moved.

Zhushan settlement is still a regular village for locals, so you can see how everyday life and culture differ; there are also some dilapidated houses that need repair. The innkeeper brought breakfast with local peanut soup and fried cakes, plus plum and peach grown by residents, and he was very chatty—this is what a real inn feels like, great. The settlement lies in southwestern Kinmen County, about a 10‑minute bike ride to the city center, which is convenient. Parking (motorcycles, cars) should be planned rather than left to chance.
