Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes

The facilities were quite nice. The grounds around the property were worth exploring, and there were plenty of spots throughout the Pousada Mosteiro to sit and enjoy the day. It was quite remote and a bit hard to get around by car. It’s a place you’d want to stay for the evening. I didn’t enjoy the quail dinner selection; it was small and hard to separate the meat from the bones, so you finish the meal still hungry. The second night we ate in the bar area and had a delightful time, and the salmon salad I had was excellent.

“Experiência histórica”

Historic building, many historic rooms, a beautiful dining room, and excellent breakfast. The room is small and the bathroom is cramped.

“Historisches Hotel mit einigen Schwächen.”

Das historische Umfeld und das komplette Ensemble haben mich beeindruckt, aber die Systemgastronomie, die eher auf Gruppenreisen ausgelegt ist, ließ das Frühstück enttäuschen und der Service war minimal. Ich musste die Koffer selbst tragen, der Pool wurde schnell verlassen und es gab kaum Servicepersonal; das Abendessen war jedoch überdurchschnittlich.
