“Décevant”
The hot shower and its pressure were nice, and the welcome desk offered water, tea, and coffee. WhatsApp contact with the host was smooth. However, the accommodation was hard to spot, not signposted, and felt like a private home in a still‑under‑construction building. The room was cold and damp with no pleasant view, and the house sits at a busy intersection, so traffic and music made it noisy. We never met the host, and the value for money was poor.
A wonderful guest home, especially thanks to the host, a very kind person who helped with every travel question, always attentive so you feel comfortable. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable; it was cold but the blankets kept us warm. Thanks, Aviskha.
“Great host and very well priced”
The host was amazing, giving info on sights and activities, even arranging our tuk‑tuk from Ambewela to Nuwara Eliya when trains weren’t running, and made sure we had a comfortable stay. He also checked the buses for our onward trip to Kandy. The location was about a 10‑minute walk to the main town and next to a great restaurant called Noshers, which we ate at daily because the food was excellent. The room was large and clean with Netflix on the TV, so for the price it was great value. Nothing serious, just a wobbly toilet seat and a bit of mould in the bathroom.
