Owashi Lodge

“Excellent location, value, space and comfortable enough.”

Excellent location and price—definitely worth it. The rooms are spacious and the price is great compared to other hostels. Warm and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. It would be better if there were lockers and more storage in the rooms, as they are large. When I arrived, the blanket wasn’t properly inside the cover, so I had to fix it in the middle of the night, which was inconvenient. A lounge or similar would be amazing. The lounge area and the drying room downstairs have a really odd smell.

Location. No shuttle service.

The location is spot on, right next to the ski lifts, and the rental shop seems to offer basic skis. The sink in the room is tiny and only cold water, which isn’t great. The room itself is plain, nothing fancy, and the breakfast was disappointing for the €100 per person per day rate. The staff feel underpaid compared to current Japanese wages. We stayed seven days in a private room and found a glass with an empty drink right by our door.

The suite with a private bathroom was fantastic, clean, and comfortable. The hostel’s location is impeccable, just a few minutes’ walk from the cable car.

“ㄏㄏ”

The spot was decent, but that’s about it. The room wasn’t cleaned at all, though at least the bed looked clean enough to sleep on.
