Located in Castellane Village's central area, Hôtel du Roc is 100 meters from the Verdon River and Gorges, offering easy access to canoeing, rafting, and hiking activities. Each room features a village or mountains view, LCD TV, and bathroom with shower, toilet, and free toiletries. A continental breakfast is served daily, and a traditional restaurant is on site.

Located in the town square with free parking right outside, the restaurant food is definitely worth staying for, but the room is a bit cramped and has no air conditioning.

The restaurant is a typical French fare, a bit too pricey for us Italians! The location is great, in the town centre, with a motorcycle parking spot in front of the hotel. Breakfast is just right—neither too much nor too little! However, you can’t choose anything; you sit and receive orange juice, yogurt, bread, one croissant, and jam, then there’s a vending machine for hot drinks. The owner is very helpful and kind. The room is a bit tiny and minimal for €100 a night! But if you factor that we were two, €50 each to sleep, it’s acceptable. Verdict: good overall.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location in the village centre was brilliant. The hotel could use an update.
