“Awful Place to stay- Not worth the money”

Nothing good to mention. The hotel was old, dirty, offered no coffee or cold drinks, the beds were awful, the bathroom was frightening, and dogs were vomiting in the hallway.

“Ok for a nights sleep. Poor for comfort, pleasant place to stay.”

The location and price were decent, but the bathroom fixtures were low‑quality, there was only one cheap chair, no hair dryer, and the shampoo/soap came in tiny packets.

“Dirty room and smelly hallways at the end of town and not close to any place to eat.”

We had no positives to note; we’d never stayed in Challis before and just needed a room for a late arrival and early departure. The room was unclean. The hallways smelled like someone was cooking in their room, and the bed looked as if someone had bled on it – we removed the bedspread to sleep on the mattress and probably should have left, but it was late. The price was low, but we got a bad room.

“Great location and nice staff.”

It was in a fantastic spot for our rock‑hounding and hiking trips, and close to some really good restaurants within walking distance. It might just need a bit of updating.
