“The real Italy.”
The hotel had that old‑world Italian charm and was perfectly positioned near the old town; Marco was extremely helpful and supportive, though the breakfast was a little thin but still fine.

Staying at this Palazzo was a genuinely authentic experience; Marco was very welcoming, our communication with him was smooth, and he offered plenty of local spots and restaurant tips. We parked our car for free on the outskirts and Marco and his father kindly assisted with our luggage. The Palazzo itself is a beautiful historic building full of old‑world charm right in the historic town center. The private breakfast served in the sitting room was amazing, offering a wide array of fresh fruits, cured meats, and cheeses. The 'new city' is a walk away, so be ready to stroll if you want to explore. Being a non‑touristy spot made us feel like we were in a truly authentic Italian town. If you’re looking for a chain‑hotel feel, this isn’t it.

The hosts were very warm in a beautiful palazzo. The 35 m² room spanned two floors, with a gallery for sleeping, and a shared living room was available. Walking to Neustadt was easy, and a free parking spot was about 5 minutes away. Even the owner’s panda picked up our luggage. We stayed in September, and sleeping on the gallery was challenging because it stayed warm despite the fan.

The bathroom had been well renovated. The carpet was dirty.

The building was very cute and historic. Umbrellas were provided and saved us when the rain started. Breakfast was fine, but everything was at room temperature—no hot or cold options. The host wasn’t expecting us, so we had to figure out how to contact someone outside the building to get in. Once we did, someone arrived quickly to let us in, but they had to set up the room while we watched. Some outlets didn’t work, and the host tried to explain how to turn all the lights on, which was hard to understand because we don’t speak Italian. There was only one comfortable chair, which was annoying because the bed was up in the loft, so we couldn’t sit there to watch TV or something.
