“Eenvoudig maar prima voor kort verblijf”

The room was decent for a single night – simple but clean, with a good bed. The location in the city center is superb.

Hotel de Markt is a suitable place for me when I visit family monthly. I don’t want to spend too much for just one night, and I’m not demanding – cleanliness is enough. The staff at the adjacent restaurant that handles the keys are always friendly. However, this review points out that service could improve, yet I’ve never seen any action taken on my comments. In one room the TV doesn’t work; in another the reading lamps are broken or the outlet is loose. None of these complaints have been fixed. I feel the owner doesn’t care or is somewhere far away and never checks on the hotel. If it gets worse, I’ll accept it, but for a place with so few amenities €93 is still steep.

“très bon sejour . de supers diners . restaurant tres bon”

The restaurant side and the staff are very pleasant. Nothing particular to note.

The room was tidy, the bed and bathroom were fine. The only downside was the lack of a kettle for coffee.

“Nooit meer in dit studentenhuis”

Weinig. Het hotel bevindt zich boven een kroeg, deze is tot 3 uur geopend. Op zaterdagavond is het een discotheek. Dronken hotelgasten kwamen om 3 uur naar boven toe. Eigenlijk was het meer een studentenhuis met privé sanitair dan dat het een hotel is. De tegels in de badkamer waren stuk, de toiletbril zat los, de bedden waren heel erg zacht, geen afstandsbediening bij de tv, stopcontact stak uit de muur, lampen stuk. Veel te duur voor een studentenkamer
