I found Candella House to be a serene oasis where I could relax and unwind, surrounded by the soothing sound of the waves and the shade of palm trees. The staff were attentive and made me feel right at home, and my room was spacious and comfortable. However, I did find it necessary to use insect repellent, as I was occasionally bitten by mosquitoes. I was told that the hotel is planning to install mosquito nets over the beds.

My stay had its ups and downs - while the restaurant was quite good, the breakfast wasn't impressive due to limited options. Additionally, I struggled with the WiFi, which was extremely poor.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, a great location, spacious and comfortable rooms, and fantastic sea views from the two lovely pools. The only drawback was that the breakfast selection was a bit limited.

I booked this hotel on short notice and was pleasantly surprised - the bed was the most comfortable I've had on all my travels in Sri Lanka, and the property's beachfront location was amazing. The pool was lovely too, and I highly recommend booking an ocean-view room. However, the massage I had was a letdown.
