The setting is nice, but this is not a hotel—it's an Airbnb with a single room. A door separated us from the owners, who could be heard a lot; there was a lot of spiderweb dust, it wasn’t well maintained, and the light didn’t work.

The staff were welcoming, the room was roomy and cozy with a touch of character. The fire in the stove was a welcome relief since we were soaked from cycling. We were surprised later by the tourist tax: 3 euros per person per night!

“Une très bonne adresse à retenir.”

We were greeted warmly by the owner right on time. The real surprise was finding a snug little nest heated by a wood stove that the gentleman had kindly lit before we arrived, and we even had a few logs to keep the fire going. The spacious room and the bathrooms were also heated by central radiators. Rustic charm and warmth were guaranteed. We also liked the electric kettle, mugs, and the coffee, tea pods, and little cakes that the owners kindly offered. A very relaxing place after a long drive… We highly recommend this spot for a little restorative break in this 16th‑century‑era room that was renovated with great taste.
