I loved the room and the living‑room suite; the pool was cold, which was actually a good thing given the hot‑water germ issues; breakfast was a nice addition and the property is well kept, though it’s a bit pricey for rural Texas.

“Watch Your Bill”

I was disappointed that the town was sold out and the rate was $325/night, and as a Hilton Honor member I expected the pet fee to be included when registering with a pet. Instead they charged us $412 for one night for our golden doodle, even though there were no accidents or messes—just the extra fee for a double bed room with a dog.

“Nothing much to say on this trip because it was to accompany my son to college and return but got sick in the process”

The staff were friendly and always helpful, but it’s hard to get around if you don’t have your own transport.
