The room was spacious and could be used as a single room, yet there were items left in the wardrobe, no towel, and the streets to the hostel aren’t always paved for walking with a trolley.

The historic barracks now serve many purposes, the nearby bakery offers a good breakfast, and the hostel staff are very friendly and respectful; you can chat easily and might want to stay longer.

“3인실 방은 넓으나 공용 화장실이 먼 숙소”

The room was quiet, spacious, and the heating worked well, but the shared bathroom was too far away to be convenient. Two people booked separately but received only one key; after calling for an extra key we got another, but the phone communication at this unmanned hostel was awkward. Dead insects were hanging on the window frame, so the window couldn’t be opened.

The rooms are fairly large, and shared bathrooms, showers, and cooking facilities are available. Most things are handled online, including the check‑in instructions. Towels aren’t provided, parking is either a small fee or free on the adjacent street. If you’re driving, the hostel sits right between Görlitz, Zittau, and Dresden, making day trips or a crew base ideal. The area is very quiet for sleeping and the price is very reasonable.
