I canceled our reservation and asked for a refund; American Inn & Suites agreed to contact me but refused to refund. The door lock was broken and I had to call the front desk to be let in; they promised to fix it while we went to dinner, yet the lock and the light above the door remained broken when we returned, and a large hole appeared in the wall near the bed. I told them we were canceling and they understood, explained how to request a refund, yet they refused. I would never recommend this place. The smell and condition of the room were awful, and it was not clean.

Breakfast was okay and the staff were amazing, but the place could use a bit more cleaning and better pricing.

The place is absolutely disgusting; it smells very musty and gross, with some halls even worse than others. Most of the staff seem to live in the rooms, and there were bugs and residue in multiple rooms. We left and they did not issue a refund even with picture proof of how disgusting the establishment is.

The location is fine, but the heaters and AC have never been cleaned; they were full of mold, mouse poop, and possibly meth, making them super unsanitary and hazardous to breathe in. The hallways and rooms smelled horrible. Steps were broken and covered with carpet pieces, walls, ceilings, and corners had cracks, and a fan fell out of the ceiling in the bathroom. This motel is absolutely disgusting.
