Nestled in a restored Victorian townhouse, Dairy Guest House sits just a 20‑minute walk from York Minster and 15 minutes from the Shambles. Each uniquely styled room offers a TV, DVD player, hot‑drink facilities, mineral water, hairdryer and toiletries. Guests enjoy a traditional English breakfast with locally sourced produce, while nearby attractions include York Racecourse, the National Railway Museum, and York Railway Station.

The guest house is gorgeous and the location is fantastic. The bed was super comfy and breakfast was lovely! The host is kind and always available if needed.

I was very happy with my stay. The room was cosy, very clean, and well equipped with an electric kettle, teas, etc. Everything was well organised, thanks to Mike, who is a very nice and kind owner. Value for money is undeniable, even exceeding my expectations. Super. Basically nothing. I would have liked an earlier breakfast slot because I wake up early, but I understand this may not be feasible and it doesn't change my overall opinion.

I enjoyed my stay in peace and quiet. I liked the extra touches like the daily refilled water bottle and the information on places to see. There was nothing I disliked.

I loved the location, just off "Bishy" Street, which is lined with fabulous independent shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. It's wonderfully vibrant and only a few minutes' walk to the centre of York. Mike is an excellent host who cooks a great breakfast. He's very knowledgeable about the area and full of recommendations for places to visit. Nothing.
