“Décevant”
The cleanliness and the kindness of Madame were positive points. However, the military‑style management of the room by Monsieur was a problem: everything was regulated—entries, exits, no keys, no TV, no air‑conditioning—making the value for money very poor, and there was no snacking allowed in the room. (I rent my own place by the sea, 100 metres from the beach in Languedoc, for less than double this price: 85 m², air‑conditioned, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, 2 fridges, 3 coffee machines, 2 living rooms, 1 garden lounge, private parking, large terrace, and complete freedom for tenants to do whatever they want.) We didn’t pay to end up in a barracks, etc., and we were so disappointed that we cut our week short and returned home. It’s a shame, especially since they offered breakfast and Madame, a Vietnamese woman, likely had excellent Asian cuisine that we love. That was the final blow.
