“Ostello spartano in villaggio vicino colombo”
A cute and minimalist hostel, but the breakfast needs improvement.
Everything was excellent.

The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable, the shower was powerful and came with all the toiletries, and breakfast was solid with a tea and coffee station open all day; the staff were friendly and helpful, even giving us excellent restaurant tips, so if we return to Colombo we’ll definitely stay at Clock Inn again. The only gripe is that I’d ban smoking in the small courtyard and move it outside the entrance.

I noticed the wash rooms could use a touch of renovation, and it would be nice if the bunk beds had curtains.

I found it a great deal for the price, especially with the simple breakfast included; it’s ideal for travelers who just need a clean, decent spot in the city without extra frills, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The only downside was the lack of lifts to the first floor, but the staff did a fantastic job carrying our luggage.
