The view was stunning and the place sits in a great spot; the pool and hot tub added a nice touch 🤗. The whole house, however, carried a distinct old‑smell that was unpleasant.

“The space and view and amenities are wonderful. The staff we met not so much.”

The space was tidy and the view charming, with a pool and hot tub as added perks. The room felt roomy, featured beautiful windows and cool furniture, and we appreciated having a private deck. The house offers many bedrooms, so co‑habitation is required. The main problem was the aggressive staff member on site. We had come a long way to spend the weekend at the Guess Who Concert with friends; we’re all over 50 and very calm. At 9:50 pm, he barked at us for using the hot tub, even though the sign said summer hours until 10 pm, and scolded us like children, which was off‑putting. The next morning, while making breakfast, he inspected the fridge in the shared space. We had kept our things in the designated area, but he saw leftover food from previous guests and, in an aggressive tone, asked if it was ours. I replied no, explained that other guests must have left it, and showed him where our items were. He then asked how our night had been; I said we slept well, but his interaction the night before made us feel scolded. He never apologized. I clarified that the sign by the hot tub indicated until 10 pm in summer, and that we had no intention of staying longer, yet being kicked out that way before the sign’s time was unsettling. He mentioned “old people in the area,” to which I replied we were quiet, playing no music, and speaking softly to be respectful. For the price we paid, we felt like unwelcome guests.

“Prima”

Ligging in een mooie wijk. Parkeren voor de deur. Mooi huis, maar wel een beetje vergane glorie. Dat we $120 moesten bijbetalen voor een derde bed, terwijl ik juist voor deze accommodatie had gekozen, omdat ik een kamer met 3 bedden had geboekt. Dat vind ik nog steeds belachelijk. Blijkbaar stond het vermeld bij de gegevens van de eigenaar (daar had ik in 25 jaar nog nooit gekeken). Zet zoiets in de kameromschrijving of geef niet aan dat de kamer 3 bedden heeft!

“Great vacation and we had a blast.”

The place was close to all amenities, the owners responded promptly, and it was clean and situated in a beautiful neighbourhood.
