“Skip this place”

The place was quiet and a tavern was close by, but we were stuck in a room surrounded by a high‑school field‑trip group. Common sense would have kept that group away from us, yet they were loud until late, slammed doors, talked in the hallway, and I had to confront the kids to stop them knocking. I didn’t complain then because we didn’t want to be the ones to move while we were still unpacking. The TV kept freezing and there was no streaming option – something only bad hotels lack nowadays. The shower in room 308 had a stiff tap for turning it on and off. The staff didn’t ask how our stay had been at check‑out. For the price we paid, we didn’t get the value we deserved.

It’s a nice, quiet spot if you don’t need to be in Queenstown centre daily. The room is big with good heating and it’s very convenient for Coronet Peak. A bus stop is right outside and across the road for buses to CP and back to Queenstown centre. Food opposite at Gantley’s is excellent, there’s a small grocery store nearby, and the resort’s own food is also good.

“Good”

The staff were very friendly and the beds were comfortable, but the carpet needs renewing and the breakfast was average for the price.
