The InterCityHotel Berlin Ostbahnhof is located next to Berlin's Ostbahnhof railway station, offering easy access to the East-Side-Gallery, Mercedes-Benz Arena, and nightlife venues. Bright, soundproofed rooms feature flat-screen TVs and private bathrooms with hairdryers. Excellent S-Bahn and bus connections link to Alexanderplatz, Friedrichstrasse, and other attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Berlin.

I didn’t get breakfast, which felt pricey for what I paid. The spot is fantastic, with shops at Ostbahnhof, and you can stock up on supplies for day trips. The carpeted floor in the room and hallway, plus the towels, could use a refresh or replacement.

The location and room size were great, and there was a free transport card; however, the rooms felt a bit dated with a ’90s aesthetic.
