The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there was plenty of on‑site parking, but the rooms were very dated and the hotel could use a good scrub and a refresh.

Not a lot. The room was tired and had a really bad smell. I had to keep the curtains closed so other rooms couldn’t see into it.
