“Basically a scam”
We liked nothing. We had made a reservation for New Year’s Eve, and when I wrote to the property to let them know what time we would arrive, I was told that the property had been closed for a year and that I should request a free cancellation. Obviously, free cancellation was not an option, so I will have to waste a huge amount of time trying to get my money refunded by . The worst part is that, since it was the last night of the year, by the time we found out it was too late to find accommodation at a price that wasn’t six times over our budget. We ended up spending New Year’s Eve in the middle of nowhere, four miles from the center of Catania.
