Acaster House, 4 rooms, 1 en-suite, street parking, train

“Highly recommended”

The place was lovely, clean, peaceful and comfortable. The downside was that the bathroom was downstairs; having a bathroom in the room would have made it perfect.

“Extremely bad experience. Total rip off, Avoid.”

Central Location. Room dirty. Tiny room. Elevated bed almost touching ceiling. Dangerous access to bed. Bath room down stair, on other side of building. Terrible value, £80 for one night. Horrible experience, avoid!

“Awful”

I left after three days because there was no heating, no hot water, the place was damp and noisy, guests in other rooms were loud, and the kitchen area was being used as a smoking zone.

I was promised a partial refund for the lack of hot water and heating but never received it. On both Wednesday and Thursday, the people in the rooms above were very loud until 3 am, and there was a strong smell of cannabis throughout the house on those same two days.

“Disappointed”

The room was very, very cold – freezing. The bed was uncomfortable, and the couch was not clean.
