Stellar Hotel

They cancelled my booking on the day of arrival, claiming I gave the wrong bank details, even though I use the booking agency all the time and have never had an issue. I suspect they over‑booked.

The hotel was dirty, the reception area was cramped, and the furnishings were old. Right in front of the entrance there was a water pit with a strong stench.

“Dirty”

The rooms were filthy: hair strands on the floor, dirt on the bathroom floor, stained cushions, ants, a gap in the door, mold and rust in the bathroom. I told the front desk, and he tried to change my room, but the new one still had water on the bathroom floor. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever seen; it was the first time I ever walked out of a hotel. I booked another nearby hotel instead.

“Fix your housekeeping terms at least!”

The mattress was comfortable and the shower water pressure was good, and the street was a dead end so it was quiet. However, housekeeping knocked on the door at 8 am every day with no sign to stop them. When a power cut happened and I had to use the emergency stairs all day, the stairs were littered with dirty carpets, rubbish, and boxes, and even after I spoke to staff twice, nothing was done.

“Close to the city”

The location was great, the staff were friendly, and parking for bikes was easy.
