Holiday Inn Haydock by IHG

“Weekend break Haydock”

The parking and Internet were good, and the gym was well equipped and clean. However, the accessible room was not cleaned to an acceptable level; photos show the drain in the shower making a bilge‑pump noise, the sink lacking a drain plug, the tissue box detached from the wall, a dust‑covered air vent, a socket hanging off the wall behind the bed, and the lounge seating was worn and stained.

The comfort, location, staff, and surroundings were all excellent.

“Comfortable room, friendly staff, good value for money.”

I was greeted warmly and the room was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed, with good soundproofing—no disturbances from neighboring rooms even though I’m a light sleeper. Dinner at the bar was enjoyable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the meal itself was good.

The place offered great value, but the rooms looked outdated; mine had a shower over a bath. I booked interconnecting rooms, yet the doors wouldn’t open. A staff member was very helpful but couldn’t resolve the issue, and the same person tried to fix my TV, but I still couldn’t watch BBC or other channels. The grounds were pleasant for walking a dog, and the hotel staff were lovely.

The staff were excellent all round!! Breakfast & Dinner were very good value for money. Steam room out of order, kids swimming classes Saturday mornings until 3pm. 😥 Bedroom window was sealed up & we couldn't open it
