The AngerResidenz apartments are located beside a small park, a short walk from Zwiesel town centre. Spacious rooms feature country-style décor, a balcony or terrace with park and river views. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a gym, infrared sauna, Finnish sauna, hot tub, massage area, billiards, table football, and disability-accessible rooms. A minibar offers drinks and snacks at €1 each.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and breakfast was a good value with a fresh egg boiled to order. We had everything we needed for our short stay, including a small fridge for storing beer from Dampfbier (€1.25 for an excellent 0.5 l bottle direct from the brewery, located a 5‑minute walk away) and leftovers for lunch. Panda Umarmung and Hakans Kebap nearby offer tasty vegetarian take‑out, and Meteora provides a lovely dining experience, all within a 10‑minute walk. The bed was firmer than we liked, but a memory foam topper would solve that; the sauna was out of order, and the reflecting pool shown in the photos no longer holds water, so either the photos and text referring to it should be removed or the pool repaired.

We loved the excellent breakfast and the staff’s outstanding friendliness; the solid‑wood furniture gave the place a Mediterranean feel, and the city‑close location right by the river, our cute terrace and the beautifully landscaped park (which you can walk into) were all highlights. We’ll definitely be back.

The breakfast was good and plentiful, and the hotel offered a quiet yet central location.

The hotel sits nicely along the river with a lovely garden you can access, a terrace, well‑equipped accommodation, and very warm, welcoming owners; breakfast was quite decent and the site is convenient for reaching the national park.
