The fresh air was nice, but the place wasn’t very clean and there were no activities; breakfast was just coffee with bread.

Mr. Pohn, the owner, was super hospitable and a great host!

It was a charming cabin beside a small pond, and the friendly family—especially the preschool‑aged girl who charms you from the start—made it a great stay; I loved the peace and plan to return in the fall. The host, a former tour guide, shared loads of useful local tips and restaurant recommendations. The only downside was the lack of an electric kettle in the room, so making coffee or tea was inconvenient since the hosts don’t drink it.

My grin kept getting bigger as I explored the amazing temple complex nearby, paddled a canoe on the dam surrounded by mountains, slept in the most comfortable bed, and enjoyed the spacious room with balcony; the surrounding farm was interesting and locals were very friendly, making this country visit a must. The only drawback was that the nearest restaurants were 3 km away.
