Beautiful location with a garden, direct lake access, good dinner and breakfast, Marianna was very friendly and the owner was helpful. The bathroom had a bit of mold and the parking lot is pretty tight, so it’s unclear if you can always park. Everything else was top.

The guesthouse sits right on the lake and is a great spot for a swim. Our rooms had a direct view of the water. The host prepares breakfast and dinner. There aren’t many other options in Lin. The access road is narrow, the parking space is tight, and cars are parked one behind the other. If you have a small car, you’re in the clear.

Thomas, the owner, and Mariana, his assistant, make sure you’re taken care of in this guest house that features a lovely garden leading down to the lake where you can sit and enjoy the calm of Lin and Lake Ohrid on one of the many chairs and loungers. Parking is limited at the house, but there’s more space back in the village. Breakfast is great and plentiful, and the evening meal offers not just the main dish but plenty of side vegetables, so the price compares well with elsewhere. It’s a relaxing and charming stay that comes highly recommended, and you can even take a bracing swim.

Mariana deserves a shout-out as the “everything‑girl.” She’s the soul of the house, caring lovingly for her guests and all matters.

Lin am Orchidsee selber ist schon ein toller Ort. Das Guesthouse Lin ist ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Zimmer mit Balkon zum See war liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr schön. Insgesamt ist das ganze Haus sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Abendessen (Fisch) war ausgezeichnet und hat auch 10 Punkte verdient - ein großes Lob an Marianna. Der Garten und der Steg zum See sind einmalig auch die Sitzgelegenheiten am See. Sooo schön". Als wir angekommen sind gab es etwas Stress mit dem Parkplatz mit dem Nachbarn. Wir durften dann an der Kirche das Auto abstellen - daher alles gut
