The hosts go above and beyond, treating you like family. Every little detail is crafted with love and charm. Breakfast lets you try new things, beautifully presented, tasty and healthy. Huge thanks for the fascinating stories about the land and people and the unforgettable stay!

Breakfast was amazing, the peace and immersion in nature were fantastic, and it’s a convenient spot for getting to Cartago and Orosi. But in August it was a bit cold in the room, no heating, shower water barely warm, a little damp, no curtains, and the price felt high.

We spent two nights as a couple and it was fantastic. Ruth and Andreas were super friendly and made everything special. Breakfast had homemade bread, local jams, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, eggs – perfect every morning. The apartments are modern, comfy, spotless. From the terrace and even the bed you can spot hummingbirds, butterflies, and sometimes toucans. The sunsets were breathtaking. This was the highlight of our two‑week trip and we’d love to return.

Ruth and Andreas made our stay unforgettable. We got married there and kicked off our honeymoon at their lovely spot, which felt extra special. The place was clean, comfy, and quiet – you could feel the calm of Cartago. They surprised us with balloons, flower petals on the bed, and little touches on the mirror to celebrate the wedding. Homemade breakfast was tasty, and when we had to leave early for a long trip they even packed breakfast for us.

A wonderful place to rest and unplug from the city. The breakfast was delicious, we even bought bread to take home. They gave us discount tickets for Jardín Lankester and made us feel at home.
