An amazing place with soul! I’ll definitely come back. Kasbah Ben Ali is a real gem in the mountains—an instant love at first sight, a spot you want to show your family and friends. We stayed here to attend the Rose Festival in Kelaat M'Gouna, which happens every year. Because of the festival, all the hotels in the center were full, so we booked a room at Ben Ali. To be honest, we were a bit worried at first about how to get to the center where all the festivities happen. Those worries vanished from day one! Taxis and local buses pass by the kasbah all the time—getting there was easy and quick. Also, Ben Ali himself was often at the center and kindly drove us during those days—something we’re very grateful for! But the real highlight is the kasbah itself. It’s a place you want to return to again and again. Beautifully maintained gardens, absolute peace, an escape from city noise, and a real connection with nature. The atmosphere is magical—we walked to a mountain river, saw blooming roses, and truly experienced something wonderful. And the food—home‑made dinners at Ben Ali, it’s something else! I’ve been to Morocco several times and eaten with locals, but here the food really tastes homemade. Simple, generous, and made with love. The most important part of this story is the people who created this miracle. When all the bus tickets to Marrakech were sold out during the festival and we were starting to lose hope, these people didn’t abandon us.
