“Never again...”

The reception tries hard to make customers happy. This is my third time here. And I'm genius level 6. Disappointing and unsafe stay at Boreas Hotel by Wyndham, Ankara. The problems started right away when the valet scratched the rims of my car. At first the property acknowledged the damage and asked me to wait for their insurance information, so I trusted their word and stayed three extra days in Ankara waiting for it. But later they turned around, called me a scammer, and refused to pay for the repairs. Inside, the room was in poor condition: broken bathroom tiles, a TV that didn't work, and a broken electrical outlet. Worse, several outlets were genuine fire hazards and unsafe to touch, which is alarming for any guest. The twin beds were pushed together but separated by a metal bracket that sticks out, a real injury risk. To make matters worse, there was no manager present at the hotel, only reachable by phone, and the staff had no authority to accommodate any guest requests, whether refunds or fixing problems. As a result, none of these problems were addressed and my concerns were simply brushed off. For a Wyndham-branded property, this level of neglect and safety hazard is unacceptable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it

“Passable Lage, sonst schmutzig, laut, unfreundlich – zu diesem Preis nicht empfehlenswert.”

Die Lage in Kavaklıdere ist gut – ruhige Seitenstraße, Tunalı Hilmi fußläufig. Das war es. Badezimmer war durchgehend schmutzig, permanenter Abflussgeruch im Zimmer. Extrem hellhörig: Man hört die Abflüsse der Nachbarzimmer und den Aufzug – aus der 5. Etage war jederzeit zu hören, auf welcher Etage er hält und ob sich die Tür öffnet. Erholsamer Schlaf unmöglich. Die Hotelbar gleicht abends einer lauten Diskothek mit pseudoelitärem Publikum. Tiefpunkt war das Frühstück: Ausgewählte Gäste benahmen sich mit schockierender Distanzlosigkeit und Lautstärke und bedienten sich am Buffet, als gäbe es keine anderen Gäste – Drängeln, Rufen quer durch den Raum, keinerlei Rücksicht und Respekt. Das Personal sah tatenlos zu. Service unterirdisch: Zimmertelefon defekt, Safe nicht verriegelbar, Personal durchweg unfreundlich. Für den Preis eine Enttäuschung auf ganzer Linie

“Miserable”

“Unfortunately, the poor cleanliness and condition of the room made this a very disappointing and uncomfortable stay.”

Unfortunately, there was very little that we enjoyed about our stay. The location was convenient, but overall the condition and cleanliness of the room made it difficult to have a comfortable stay. The cleanliness and condition of the room were extremely disappointing. There was hair and staining on the bed, including what appeared to be blood stains. We also found used toilet paper, and some of the cupboards were broken. These issues made us feel uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about the standard of housekeeping and maintenance. The room should have been properly inspected and cleaned before we were checked in
