“de l'humanité ,du cœur et de la résilience ,à l'image de ce pays rude et sauvage qu'est le Morvan”
The retro vibe of the hotel was spot on, and the owner gave clear directions that let me settle into a charming room already “squatted” by the house cat without any hassle. She was in the kitchen, whipping up a great dinner without fuss, which capped off the evening perfectly. In short, a small family‑run place run by a brave woman who goes out of her way to make guests feel at home—thanks a ton for that magical experience. Nothing to complain about; it was exactly what I expected for a change‑of‑scenery trip to the Morvan.
“Relaxed no fuss great host”
Old‑fashioned French inn. Nothing.
“Petite auberge vieillotte pour voyageurs peu exigeants.”
Marie’s warm welcome and the cold buffet in the garden were nice, and the rustic, deep‑country feel was appealing. The mess was a problem; the house hasn't changed since 1950, everything feels old and patched up. The shower is small and poorly equipped, though hot water is available. Breakfast is minimal.
The courtyard is really nice. The kitchen in the shared area just didn't work at all.
“Super bien”
Everything was fine. Nothing.
