The view is great, the place is quiet, and the owner is friendly.
“Nature sounds”
The accommodation matched the pictures; it sits in the middle of nature, so there are no shops or supermarkets nearby—make sure to buy everything beforehand. It’s really quiet and calm; the only sounds are from nature, and in the morning you wake up to rooster noises, which is lovely. The bathroom isn’t in the room, so you leave the room and find another decent bathroom on the terrace. The small kitchen in the room needs a few more basic items. It would benefit from more kitchen utensils and a bit more attention to cleanliness.
“Une parenthèse enchantée”
The large room feels like a breath, with a terrace that gently takes your hand to show you the valley. Maria’s garden—her oranges, sun‑kissed, almost insolently generous—has the taste of the real thing. The place soothes effortlessly. A quiet Crete village, but not empty—inhabited. It moves slowly, leaving space. It’s about what you feel, what you become when you stop running. Maria is a rare presence, an active sweetness, not naïve. She welcomes like opening a safe space: never intruding, always there. She advises, watches, connects. Thanks to her, you don’t “visit” – you meet. A meal almost at someone’s home, looks, laughter, shared fragments of life without folklore. There’s something deeply alive in this way of hospitality: creating connection without locking, offering without expecting, letting everyone exist as they are, fully. We arrived curious. We left a bit transformed, a bit more alive. And yes – I’ll return, not a thousand times, just as often as needed.
“Découverte de la Crête locale et rurale”
It feels authentic, simple, and welcoming. Nothing to complain about.
The garden is a dream, full of orange trees that let you pick oranges in the morning and make the freshest orange juice you’ve ever had, which you can enjoy relaxed at one of the tables in this idyll.
