Alala Homestay Tuyen Quang City Center

We had a fantastic stay at this place, thanks to the super-helpful host who spoke excellent English. The location was perfect, with loads of restaurants within walking distance, and we even managed to stash our motorcycles in the garage downstairs. The room itself was massive, and the shower was incredibly powerful – just what we needed after a long day of exploring. If I'm being picky, the bed was a bit firmer than I'm used to, but that's a minor quibble.

The hotel's location is a major plus - it's super close to the city center, making it easy to get around. However, the room itself was a bit of a letdown. It was spotless, which is great, but it lacked some basic amenities like a fridge and filtered water. To make matters worse, the showerhead was fixed in place, so you can't adjust the temperature or pressure to your liking. Still, the convenience of the location makes up for some of these shortcomings.

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The room was a total letdown - it was dirty and smelled like a dog had been in there. The description online didn't match what I found when I arrived, which was really frustrating.

“Highly recommend!”

I'm so glad I decided to come back to this place after my first visit in 2023 – it's still just as amazing as I remembered. The interior design is top-notch, with beautifully preserved details that make it feel like a real gem. The rooms are spotless, super comfortable, and the staff is always happy to help. The location in the city center is a real bonus, making it easy to get around and explore. If I have one tiny complaint, it's that the elevator is a bit small, but that's not a deal-breaker.

I had a fantastic time at alala, and I think it's because they're clearly targeting international visitors – the staff spoke excellent English, and it felt like a real haven for foreign guests. The rooms were super clean and well-maintained, and the elevator made it easy to get around. The indoor parking area for motorbikes was a real lifesaver, and the location was perfect for getting around.
