Auberge Marquis de Montcalm

The décor is original and cozier than a standard hotel, and the bedding is good, but the sheets were in bad condition. Early‑morning garbage truck traffic and passing cars made noise, and the proximity to common areas meant other guests’ footsteps echoed in the stairwell. The old room door didn’t seal well and let light spill into the stairwell, and the toilet keeps moving because it’s poorly fixed to the floor.

The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, the décor was fantastic, and breakfast was great.

“Memorable fall in Sherbrooke”

Getting downtown on foot is very convenient, and the location gives easy access to museums, shops, and restaurants. Sherbrooke looks beautiful in autumn, the hosts are friendly, breakfast is superb, and the room is thoughtfully decorated and cozy. No complaints.

“Exception experience: elegant, comfortable, with wonderful hosts”

The hosts and the room went beyond our expectations; the décor was fabulous, the whole house felt elegant and unique, and we were pleasantly surprised it felt more like an apartment with a beautiful sitting room and a large bedroom. Even the bathroom was elegant. Breakfast was wonderful, the hosts were very friendly without being overbearing, and we’d stay there again any time.

À l’Auberge Marquis de Montcalm, à Sherbrooke, les propriétaires m’ont raconté l’histoire de leur auberge, de son nom et des décorations de chaque chambre. Chaque chambre a sa propre histoire. Les propriétaires ont créé leur auberge avec beaucoup d’amour. On sent qu’ils aiment leur auberge comme leur maison. Les décorations sont tellement belles et chaleureuses qu’on a envie d’y habiter ! J’ai très bien dormi, ce qui est très important pour moi. Le petit-déjeuner était délicieux et santé. Mais surtout, j’ai aimé parler avec les gens et découvrir leur histoire. Pour moi, c’est ça, voyager : découvrir de beaux endroits, rencontrer des gens passionnés et se sentir comme à la maison. Je suis revenue à Montréal, mais j’ai fait un grand voyage à Sherbrooke !. rien
