Located in Macugnaga, Hotel Signal is a 5-minute walk from the Belvedere ski lift and 5 minutes' drive from the town centre. This rustic hotel features traditional rooms with wooden furnishings, satellite TV, and private bathrooms, often with balconies and Monte Rosa views. Enjoy a buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and discounted ski courses and passes. Parking is free, and Verbania at Lake Maggiore is a 1-hour drive.

The lady was very kind, and the breakfast was rich and tasty. The room was too small for two people, cramped, and the bathroom was tiny.

The location is excellent with a fabulous view of the east wall of Monte Rosa. Breakfast is superb, as are all the meals. The setting feels very welcoming and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful; we have been staying here for several years. The rooms are small, not soundproofed, and the bathroom lacks a bidet.

The spot is spot-on for spotting Monte Rosa and for getting there, and the town center is practically next door. Breakfast hit the mark and the staff were warm, especially Daniela. The downside is that, like most mountain hotels, the rooms are cramped and not adapted for disabilities.

The location is gorgeous and sits in a fantastic spot. The owner, or at least the lady who runs it, seemed a bit “unfriendly” to me.
