The spot is great, the room was comfy, and the staff were helpful; it sits right across from the supermarket, making it the most convenient choice. The only downside is that the tap water in Svalbard isn’t safe to drink, yet the hotel doesn’t offer bottled water in the room.

The cleanliness, the views, and the breakfasts are simply incredibly good.

The hotel is lovely and clean, every area is well maintained, the blackout blinds are perfect for summer, the shower and bathroom facilities are great, breakfast options are good and the on‑site restaurant is nice, and slippers are provided. One of the receptionists was a bit abrupt at times, making us feel slightly unwelcome, and compared to other places in town it doesn’t justify its very high price.
